A Level Physics Tutor

Dr. Kanzul Iman

MBBS, MRCP (UK) (Medicine)

With years of struggling in medicine and working as a private tutor for ten years I decided to spend my energies helping A level students in the subjects of Biology and Physics.
One thing was sure there is a scarcity of data and resources for students of A level and above all, a knowledgeable and expertise tutor is something a student needs at this stage which is actually a base for students to get admission in top universities.
I am Dr Kanzul Iman -medical doctor and full time resource creator plus A level physics tutor. I did my medicine with first class grades in medicine. Later completing my Mrcp from Royal college physicians .I started teaching in year 2014 from my self prepared notes which was surprisingly very helpful and widely appreciated among my students. I have taught more then 200 plus students worldwide with most of students coming from Uk,KSA,China and middle east.

A Level Physics Tutor: How to Find the Right One for Your Needs

An A level physics tutor must have a structured approach to teach my students, and I emphasis on understanding their individual needs is commendable. Here’s a breakdown of my teaching method:

1. Assessment and Categorization

I categorize students based on their academic level, which is a crucial first step in tailoring your teaching approach to their specific needs.

2. Differentiated Instruction:

I provide a differentiated approach based on the students’ categories. For average students, I focus on comprehensive tutoring initially, followed by intensive past paper practice. For above-average students, I offer weekly lessons with detailed explanations and solutions for past paper exams.

3. Comprehensive Notes:

My prepared notes, aligned with the curriculum specifications, are a valuable resource for students. They provide a structured reference for learning.

4. Active Engagement:

I encourage active learning by asking questions related to the topic I have taught. This ensures that students are absorbing and understanding the material, not just passively consuming it.

5. Regular Lessons and Practice:

I provide two lessons weekly, completing one topic at a time, which allows for more in-depth exploration of each subject. This approach is particularly beneficial for students to grasp complex concepts.

6. Past Paper Practice:

I emphasize the importance of practicing past papers, especially in the months leading up to exams. I also take the time to explain and discuss the solutions to these papers.

7. Topic Review:

At the end of completing past papers, you revisit topics that need reinforcement and address the students’ weak points through additional targeted practice question.

This method is comprehensive and well-structured. Here are a few additional tips to consider:

• Regular Assessment:

Incorporate periodic assessments or quizzes to gauge student progress and adjust your teaching approach as necessary.

• Student Feedback:

Encourage your students to provide feedback on the effectiveness of your teaching approach, and be open to making adjustments based on their input.

• Communication:

Encourage your students to provide feedback on the effectiveness of your teaching approach, and be open to making adjustments based on their input. Maintain clear communication with your students, ensuring they understand your expectations, goals, and the resources available to them.

• Adaptability:

Be flexible in your teaching approach, as each student may have unique learning needs and preferences.

Your approach seems to be geared towards providing a supportive and effective learning experience for your students, which is a fundamental aspect of being a successful tutor.

Watching the struggles of students I created resources for students that students can subscribe and access to the notes and questions whenever they need.

Online teaching is done via zoom.

Teaching using Zoom can be highly effective, and it’s great to hear that you’ve found it to be a suitable platform for your online chemistry tutoring. Here are some tips to make the most of your Zoom teaching experience:
